This 80% AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) furnace easily saves money on operation compared to older, less efficient models while delivering years of reliable performance backed by Payne. This furnace includes a highly efficient ECM motor. This blower motor provides: SEER enhancements over PSC motors and coil only ratings, enhanced humidification control, and adjustable constant fan speed from the thermostat.

What is AFUE?
Like a car’s mpg, AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) is the measure of fuel efficiency for a furnace. It tells you what percentage of consumed heating fuel actually goes to heating your home. The higher the number the better, because when you waste fuel, you waste money.

Example: For each $1.00 of heating fuel that the Payne PG8MVA furnace uses, 80% (or $.80)
of it is used to actually heat your home.
