The Apex™ Series XA -15 and XA-20 R-410A Single Packaged Heat Pumps
The convertible Coleman Series single-package heat pump line combines standard high-efficiency and advanced-economizer controls with unprecedented installation flexibility and low installation costs. Optional electric heaters are also offered. A single footprint size serves the 15 and 20 ton heat pump. The 15 ton is in the standard cabinet whereas the 20 ton is in the new larger cabinet. This unit is designed for commercial applications and are easily installed on a roof curb, slab, roof jack, or frame. These heat pumps also have our Simplicity control board standard on every unit.

Unitary Products XA-20 and XA-15 Heat Pump units are convertible single package high efficiency rooftops. All models have independent refrigeration circuits for efficient part load operation.
Although the units are primarily designed for curb mounting on a roof, they can also be slab-mounted at ground level or set on steel beams above a finished roof.
All units are self-contained and assembled on rigid full perimeter base rails allowing for overhead rigging. Every unit is completely charged, wired, piped, and tested at the factory to provide a quick and easy field installation.
All models (including those with an economizer) are convertible between bottom and horizontal duct connections.
The heat pumps utilize a demand defrost control scheme. The unit will operate in heating mode until a combination of outdoor ambient and outdoor coil temperature indicate that a defrost cycle is necessary. The outdoor coil temperature must remain
below the initiate point continuously for 4-1/2 minutes to eliminate any unnecessary defrost cycles.
