The Grip Idle Management System

The GRIP (Governor to Reduce Idle and Pollution) Idle Management System has been created to manage the time that a vehicle spends idling.

By using the GRIP system to transfer operation from the engine to the battery when idling, you can: save fuel, reduce carbon emissions, reduce overall operation and engine maintenance, and extend the life cycle of the engine.

The Grip system works in conjunction with the vehicle’s Controller Area Network (CAN) and receives real-time data on the vehicle’s function, making decisions to shut the engine on and off via the GRIP’s PLC (Programmable Logic Controller).

◊ Interior vehicle temperature and battery voltage monitored and maintained during shutdown
◊ GRIP will only power off the engine while the vehicle is in park or neutral gear position, never while stopped temporarily

◊ EMAT system converts vehicle metrics collected by GRIP into simple charts for better analytics and function monitoring
◊ Recycling program allows GRIP to be re-installed in another vehicle when the life cycle of the vehicle ends

● EASY TO INSTALL
The GRIP system has been designed to be non-invasive with ease of Installation in mind. The components for the system are easily mounted and harnesses are clearly marked for locations as well. The GRIP system utilizes a plug-and-play connection method with only one connection needed to be incorporated into the ignition.
